Infused waters are one of the latest fitness trends and we can’t get enough of them. infused waters consist of water that has been mixed or infused with different fruits and other ingredients. Bottles are available that allow you to make your own infused waters and take them with you.
Infused waters are great for the hot weather. They make a healthy alternative to fruit juices and have many health benefits with little calories. If you are trying to lose weight and are getting bored with normal water then maybe infusing your own flavoured water is just what you need. You can drink them right away but it is usually better to leave them in the fridge for a few hours for the flavours to infuse fully. Take a look at some of these great recipes for you to try at home.
Lemon and lime
Lemon and lime are often available in shops as flavoured water but will not taste as good as making your own. You only need half a lemon and half a lime each time to make your infused water. Just remember not to leave it infusing for too long as the taste can become quite strong. Both lemon and limes have numerous health benefits and are full of vitamin C.
Mango and Lime
This infused water contains limes packed with vitamin C. As well as this there is also mango. I often prefer to use more mango than lime. Mango contains vitamin A which is a powerful antioxidant and also beneficial for vision. There is also vitamin B6 and other B vitamins that can help prevent brain and health disease.
Green apple and rosemary
A common flavoured water, apple and rosemary is a great tasting infused water for them summer days.
